Kelly's Port

Kyle Kelly brokered our boat for us last July and they did it for top dollar in only about a month and we ordered a new regal from them in January of 2021 and just took delivery Labor Day weekend and Charlie was the most awesome salesman ( I can be difficult at times) and Tonya did great handling our finance . Awesome team at Kelly's Port top to bottom with a great gas dock that we've always used!!!

The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
Long review but I promise it is worth the read.

I have a cruiser on their dock. This weekend I had them handle the loading and unloading of my 38ft powerboat, which I paid for. After unloading the boat I walked down to move it to a slip I had rented for it to find it rubbing against the dock without any fenders out. At this point I am very displeased. I placed my fenders in the cockpit in plain sight to avoid this issue. As I am getting ready to move my boat I saw an employee which could have been an owner or the brother of the owner and asked him if this his how they treat their customer’s boat. He then said it’s ok because they normally don’t get many waves back there. (FYI. Plenty of waves back there)
Completely missing the point. Take care of your customer’s boats.
Zero apologies were offered.
During the week speaking with a few other slip renters I found this is very common and the owners are not very well liked which I found a little surprising but I don’t know the owners.
The first week of being there I witnessed an employee break a part off the back of a Sea Ray and just tossed the part on the swim platform. I knew the owner of this boat and let him know and they completely denied they did it.
Today as I asked to have my boat loaded I saw them loading another boat and that employee ran that boat into the corner of the dock which after loading they didn’t even inspect the damage they did.
After they loaded my boat I went to hook up to head home and I noticed they were about 2 feet short from the boat being loaded correctly. I didn’t think much about it and asked to have it backed back into the water and I’ll take care of the rest and bring it to it’s correct position. As I waited at the dock I received a call from my fiancé and was told they weren’t going to back it back down.
I asked the extremely rude employee why they wouldn’t and he responded that the boat would hit the wrench on the trailer. I laughed because it was the craziest excuse because there is no way the boat could actually hit the wrench in any way. He also told me I didn’t know what I was talking about.
I am an extremely experienced boater that has traveled from the west to east coast running poker runs for many many years, from lake Havasu to Miami I know how my boat should be loaded.
I was told that I would have to drive the boat, which is hanging off the back of the trailer, to state park marina if I wanted to move it myself, which I had to do. That is when I also found that they had broken a bunk on the trailer.
I tried to speak to an owner but in respect he had a customer in his office so I asked for a call back.
Instead I get a text kicking me and my cruiser off the dock because their staff is obviously not experienced to handle any type of boat so go elsewhere. Instead of having a conversation with me he hid behind a text.
I am pleased to leave but I warn anyone to just look elsewhere.

Kelly’s Port saved another vacation! Impeller vanes clogged my cooling system. I dropped off the boat at 2 pm and picked up before 5pm today. They backflushed and got all the impeller vanes out. Incredible customer service! Six more days of boating. They will get ALL of my future boating maintenance business.

I keep my boat at Kelly's Port. The staff and other boaters are all very friendly and helpful. Their gas is some of the cheapest on the lake and the gas dock girls are always in a good mood. Their service department is one of the better ones on the lake and they are expanding to keep up with demand, so they're clearly doing something right. Whether you're looking for boat slip rental, a good boat mechanic, or an affordable and friendly place to get gas, I'd highly recommend the team at Kelly's Port.
