Big Water Marina is a self-service facility that provides an unspoiled oasis for all types of lake lovers. Located on the largest expanse of open water on Lake Hartwell, the marina is one of the most accessible spots for visitors to fully embrace the atmosphere of the lake — on and off the water.

From storage to services, our team takes the work out of boating to offer a pleasant experience for guests from all over. Big Water Marina supports 150+ wet slips tucked in a well-protected cove to houseboats safely through every season. Our technicians are highly trained to assist with a variety of services and repairs — anything from bottom boat paint jobs to fiberglass repair —to keep your boat in top-notch shape year-round. For the sailing enthusiast, our ASA-certified sailing school and interactive sail club provide opportunities to learn, race, cruise, and socialize.

We also cater to non-boaters with a selection of high-quality rentals, a full-service campground, and a tiki-style bar and grill (seasonal). Our boat and kayak rentals come equipped with all necessary safety gear and are available to rent for the full day or a half-day, so you and your crew can explore the lake at your leisure. For out-of-towners and locals, our tent & RV campground provides a lakeside getaway with gorgeous views and full access to our ship store, boat ramps, and docks. Tenants and visitors can also enjoy an afternoon on land at our lakefront tiki bar and grill (open seasonally).

Rent one of our brand new 2021 Harris Cruiser 230 Tritoon rental boats or Yamaha VX rental jet skis for your day on Lake Lanier.

Our rental boats and rental jet skis are available on the north end of Lake Lanier. When you rent a pontoon boat or rent a jet ski from Captain Watersports, we will deliver and pick up the rental pontoon boat and rental jet ski at your dock located northwest of Lake Lanier. Our boats, pontoons and jet skis are for customer pickup so come to our location and pick up the water craft of your choice. We can deliver to Lake Hartwell boat ramps with a 3 day minimum rental for an additional fee.
