Our Story
Boat Planet started as
an idea — an observation, really.
When our founder needed some work done on his boat, he did what most boaters do:
he flipped through some old boating magazines and asked his dock neighbors for recommendations of professional help. But dusty magazines didn't fix things and dock neighbors weren't always around when problems occurred.
There had to be a better way.
He created a Facebook group to connect with other boaters, ask questions, share tips, and find help. As membership grew, our founder noticed a problem. Boat owners needed help connecting to qualified, local marine professionals. The same professionals were looking to connect with boat owners. As a solution to bring the two together, Boat Planet was born, which now connects more than 60,000 passionate boaters with marine professionals each month.
