With vast slip space and spacious new facilities, Bluewater Yachting Center offers groups, boats, and yachters a prime locale for transient, seasonal, and annual docking within Hampton, Virginia’s city limits. Since 2002, the yachting center has been a crown jewel for the Bluewater network, offering unparalleled hospitality and service for all our guests and visitors.

The Club has a proud and storied past as one of the premier Yacht Clubs on the East Coast and dates back to its formation in 1947 when Sidney Banks invited P F Murray and W H Terry to organize the new activity thus instigating the change of the Club’s name to Cavalier Yacht and Country Club with activities beginning in the summer of 1948 when the Club sponsored sailing races and held its first cruise to Urbanna in which seven boats participated. The Club has grown its docks and capacity over the years starting with a ten by forty foot float, followed by a pier with ten slips constructed of untreated hard woods taken from the property – which in turn was replaced a few years later when the Beach Canal was opened and interest had soared. A second dock of 180 feet was constructed in 1951 with a pier at the end…and by 1997 the Club offered 85 slips on three piers but continued to maintain a wait list and in the summer of 2004 installed two sets of floating docks at the end of the North and East Piers taking the capacity to 100 slips.

Salt Ponds Marina Resort is conveniently located in Hampton, Virginia (VA), right off the Chesapeake Bay. The Marina has 254 floating docks with wide full length fingers & rubber rub rails. We welcome both transient and long-term tenants, accommodating vessels up to 110 feet.

The Hampton Public Piers is a transient facility located within walking distance of Downtown Hampton’s historic district, restaurants, and local attractions. It was the first marina in the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive Virginia Clean Marina certification.

Tidewater Yacht Marina is one of the finest deep water marinas along the East coast, and is home to mile marker “0” on the intracoastal waterway. We offer everything you may need to make your journey memorable. Among these 18th and 19th century buildings, you’ll enjoy a riverfront park and an abundance of places to see and tour. A trolley tour of these historical structures is available and within walking distance of your slip. Harbor tours are also available within walking distance on the Spirit of Norfolk and the Carrie B. You are also within walking distance of the Naval Shipyard Museum, the Lightship Museum, the Children’s Museum of Virginia, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, the 1946 Courthouse Fine Arts Gallery, Community Arts Center and the Old Harbor Market. A short, scenic drive away are such historic attractions as Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and James River Plantations, as well as the theme parks Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Ocean Breeze Water Park and of course, the Virginia Beach resort area oceanfront.
