Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club was founded in 1932 as a sailing club by a small group of sailboat enthusiasts. Over the years, CBYC has grown steadily in terms of its membership, facilities, and the range of activities offered. Tucked away on the lee (warm side) of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and overlooking LA Harbor, the CBYC clubhouse and marina are situated in the most pleasant micro-climate in the area. Our unique location provides the finest, and shortest, trip to Catalina Island. The winds found in Hurricane Gulch provide excellent conditions for sailors of all types of boats, from sabots to sleds and is a frequent venue for many major regattas.

The California Yacht Club is located in beautiful Marina del Rey, which is the largest manmade small craft harbor in the world. CYC is one of several clubs in the marina but is one of only two clubs that offers full services to its members.

We are one of the few privately owned marinas in Los Angeles County, located just north of Orange County. That means that, rather than being just another boat in some government marina, each of our boaters are important to us and receive our personal attention. Our dock manager and our office manager have their own boats docked in Cerritos Bahia Marina. And you will enjoy docking yours here as well! Yacht club

The Huntington Harbour Yacht Club was formed and incorporated in October of 1965. When it started, the club met at the Barefoot Bar located on the beach at the Bay and Racquet Club on Warner Avenue, until it moved into its present clubhouse. In 1977, the club signed a 30-year lease for its present site with the City of Huntington Beach. The membership designed and built the original building and docks in 1977 and 1978. The original facilities were dedicated on April 15, 1978. The clubhouse was enlarged to its present configuration, with the addition of 3,000 square feet, in April of 1984.
