Any visitor to Boat Planet can see your business profile and message you for information. However, to comment or leave a review, they must register for an account.

When a boater leaves a review on your business page, you'll be notified immediately and have 48 hours to review, respond, and flag if necessary. After 48 hours the review will be posted live.
If you flag the review, Boat Planet will have 48 hours to evaluate the content to see if it violates our community guidelines. Reviews that do not violate the community guidelines will be posted live, whether positive or negative.
If a review meets the letter of our community guidelines, but not the spirit, please flag the offending content. Our community managers will review and make the decision whether to remove it.
You can send current and past customers personalized requests for reviews here. You may also encourage customers to leave reviews by offering a discount if they create a Boat Planet account and review your business.
We recommend updating projects every 2-3 weeks to keep users engaged with your business. You may also choose to highlight a past project to promote a seasonal service. For instance, you can upload a winterization project from previous years in anticipation of the fall months to attract new customers.
The best way to improve your business' search result ranking is to complete your entire profile, add projects, and encourage customers to submit reviews.

Boat Planet will not share your information with third party businesses. The information on your public profile can be seen by any visitor to Boat Planet, regardless if they are a member.

Apart from the businesses you contact directly, Boat Planet does not share your personal information with third parties. If you contact a business on Boat Planet, they will receive your name, email and phone number.
