Choose between a five or eight hour charter. We will be in search of Flounder, Sea Bass, Bluefish, Croaker, Tog, and Rockfish. Alternatively, we offer an eight hour inshore charter for catching Sharks.

Offshore Charter.
Our offshore options include a 10-12 hour Chunk / Troll in search of Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Billfish, and Tilefish. We also offer a 12-13 hour Big Eye Tuna special!

Based out of Ocean City, Maryland, Boss Hogg is a 61ft Custom Carolina Sport Fish built By Blackwell Boatworks. She was completely retrofitted for its ribbon cutting in May of 2014. Powered by Twin Cat Diesel 3406s the customized Carolina Flare hull offers a comfortable ride and is set-up and always ready for charters and tournament fishing.

Boss Hogg is captained by Brian Porter and Alex Beane, two of the most renowned and most tournament successful captains on the East Coast.

Our primary focus is shark fishing but we also offer reef, wreck, inshore, offshore, and back bay adventures. Some species we target are sea-bass, flounder, triggerfish, mahi-mahi, shad, puffers, red drum, black drum, Spanish mackerel, king fish, sheepshead, bluefish, striped bass, tautog, and drag peeling 100+ lb southern, butterfly, eagle, and roughtail stingrays. Our goal is to have fun and bend rods. We like bottom fishing and jigging with light tackle vs trolling.

Capt. Jacob is a third-generation captain. He has spent the majority of his life fishing and learning the ropes from his Dad and Grandfather. He has a passion for all things fishing; it’s infectious. Jacob began mating for his Dad when he was just seven years old. Ironically, his Dad is now his first mate on the Tenacious. As a young kid, Jacob would spend his weekends, school holidays and any free time he had fishing and working on boats. In 2002, Jacob missed the morning of Opening Day of Rockfish season to sit for his United States Coast Guard Captain’s License exam. He was back on the dock, ready to run the boat by that afternoon. He holds a 100 Ton Near Coastal and Inland Masters, a Marine Radio Operators Permit and a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Growing up in Shady Side, MD has not only made the Chesapeake Bay his home away from home, but has allowed Jacob to work for multiple captains and boats in the area which has given him the opportunity to gain different techniques and skills. Jacob loves to share his knowledge and joy for fishing with new anglers, especially children. When Capt. Jacob isn’t running a charter, he can typically be found fun-fishing or in the woods hunting whitetail deer or with his family.

Capt Stu is fishing his 37th year on the Lisa. A local operation doesn't stay successful that long without performing every single trip.
