Welcome to the City of Alpena's Marina. Our Marina is owned and maintained by the City of Alpena, operated by Thunder Bay Shores Marine, Inc. and governed by the policies of the Michigan State Waterways Commission, a division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. All of our guidelines follow our grant-in-aid agreement with the Michigan State Waterways Commission and City regulations. Located on Lake Huron's Thunder Bay, the City of Alpena offers a full service marina to the boating public. The City has outsourced the day-to-day operation of our marina to Thunder Bay Shores Marina, Inc. Under the guidance of Michael Connolly and Richard Calgary, our marina offers a maintenance/repair facility, marina store, dock hands to help boaters cast off and tie up, refueling boats with gasoline or diesel, and a sewage pump-out station.
