The vision of local developers Bernie Jackson and Gerry Kocis opened as Bowers Harbor Landing (“The Marina”) on January 1, 1990. Composed of 50 docking slips, the Marina is located in the northeast portion of Bowers Harbor on the west arm of Grand Traverse Bay, seven miles north of Traverse City on Old Mission Peninsula. All 50 slips (24 30-foot, 24 40-foot and 2 50-foot) are governed by long-term private leases and are fully-occupied, although transients are frequently accommodated when lessees are away on cruises.

We have 22 boat slips accommodating boats up to 30' in length. Located just past the 1st bridge, air draft of 13' or less should not be a problem. We have 11 Campsites. Clean bathrooms and a common room where you can relax and watch a movie.

City of Algoma Marina offers 48 Seasonal Slips for vessels up to 40 feet with electricity and water hook-ups. We also offer a Fish Cleaning Station, Sanitary Pump Out, Double Launch Ramps, Gasoline for sale, Private Showers and Public, Restrooms, and Free WiFi.
