I am also an avid offshore fisherman with my own boat so I understand that quality and safety is of upmost importance when 70 miles offshore with no phone service. MidWatch Marine is a family-owned small business that was created in response to requests and concerns of absentee homeowners and the need for local marine repair service. In 2012 our mobile marine repair business flourished and it became very apparent that our customers would be best served if we narrowed the scope of work our company performed.

Layton’s Boatworks is owned and operated by Doug Layton. Doug brings with him 25 years of boat building experience. Doug, a former Albemarle Boats employee, is factory certified in Volvo, Yanmar & Mercury and is our “in house” head electronics technician. Our company is based on the belief that our customers’ needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs.
