Big Water Marina supports 150+ wet slips tucked in a well-protected cove to houseboats safely through every season. Our technicians are highly trained to assist with a variety of services and repairs — anything from bottom boat paint jobs to fiberglass repair —to keep your boat in top-notch shape year-round. For the sailing enthusiast, our ASA-certified sailing school and interactive sail club provide opportunities to learn, race, cruise, and socialize.

We also cater to non-boaters with a selection of high-quality rentals, a full-service campground, and a tiki-style bar and grill (seasonal). Our boat and kayak rentals come equipped with all necessary safety gear and are available to rent for the full day or a half-day, so you and your crew can explore the lake at your leisure. For out-of-towners and locals, our tent & RV campground provides a lakeside getaway with gorgeous views and full access to our ship store, boat ramps, and docks. Tenants and visitors can also enjoy an afternoon on land at our lakefront tiki bar and grill (open seasonally).

Our repair shop is certified to work on all makes and models of boats and motors including, Indmar, Suzuki, Evinrude, Volvo, Yamaha, MerCruiser, and others. The owner of Anchorage Marine, Barney Mayfield, has 20 years of experience and knows Lake Burton like the back of his hand. We service over 200 boats regularly at Anchorage and frequently make service calls all over the lake.

In addition to dry storage, we also have 64 wet covered boat slips that can handle boats up to 24 feet. These slips are often hard to come by because of their convenience! When you stop by this summer, take notice of our new docks and the new infrastructure we’ve had built to ensure that the iconic locust wood posts will still greet happy boaters as they idle their way to their boat slip. We’ve taken special pains to maintain our heritage without compromising our dedication to safety and caring for the needs and desires of our family of renters.
