Canvasbacks is a full service shop that manufactures and repairs custom canvas, cushions and sails. Canvasbacks works primarily with canvas projects like new enclosures, repairs, canvas covers, upholstery and more. We service the West Bay area, but occasionally travel to other parts of Rhode Island.

Custom Marine Canvas received an Outstanding Achievement in the Complete Interior Upholstery category, an Outstanding Achievement in the Exterior Upholstery category and an Outstanding Achievement in the Full Exterior Canvas Sailboat 27′ and Up category.

At Wm. J. Mills & Co., we boast new computerized stitching machines, the largest computerized cutting table on Long Island, the largest sail loft on Eastern Long Island, and a fully equipped machine shop with custom-designed fabricating equipment. Cumulatively, our manufacturing staff has over two centuries of experience! We employ a full-time, professional staff that handles the installation of all our products and man a fleet of six trucks, all of which are on the road daily during the height of the season. Our staff is quick and efficient, leaving only the finished and installed product behind.
