Canvasbacks works primarily with canvas projects like new enclosures, repairs, canvas covers, upholstery and more. We service the West Bay area, but occasionally travel to other parts of Rhode Island.

Located on Mattituck Inlet with immediate access to Long Island Sound, this 16-acre facility offers 45 slips and 7 indoor storage buildings to accommodate yachts to 110 ft. Staffed by the most experienced technicians and craftsmen in the region, with facilities including a state-of-the-art machine shop, fully-stocked parts shop, and custom wood, canvas and upholstery shops, you can rely on our team to take care of your vessel’s full repair and maintenance requirements year round.

At Wm. J. Mills & Co., we boast new computerized stitching machines, the largest computerized cutting table on Long Island, the largest sail loft on Eastern Long Island, and a fully equipped machine shop with custom-designed fabricating equipment. Cumulatively, our manufacturing staff has over two centuries of experience! We employ a full-time, professional staff that handles the installation of all our products and man a fleet of six trucks, all of which are on the road daily during the height of the season. Our staff is quick and efficient, leaving only the finished and installed product behind.
