Custom Canvas and Cushions

“This is the second boat that Custom Canvas has done for us. They have redone the upholstery on my 320 Sundancer and my 2860 Sailfish. Both came out great. They are very busy so things never get done as quick as I want them to, but they managed my expectations and did a great job. Chris brought great ideas that we had not thought about and worked with us each step to get exactly what we wanted. Also had a Shower curtain made for around the T-Top and it fits perfect.“

“Just had Neil do a complete enclosure and top on my Stamas 250 express. Came out perfect and cost was within my agreed budget. Would highly recommend.“

Boat Canvas FAQs

What does a boat canvas service include?

Boat canvas services can include repair, replacement, or custom fabrication of covers, bimini tops, enclosures, T-top canvas, cockpit covers, mooring covers, and more. Services often involve sewing repairs, zipper and snap replacement, new canvas installations, and full custom-fit solutions to protect your boat from the elements.

What types of canvas work can I get done on Boat Planet?

You can find pros for nearly any type of canvas work—repairs to torn or sun-damaged canvas, replacing old isinglass panels, creating custom-fit covers, or building full enclosures. Whether you need a small fix or a completely new setup, Boat Planet connects you with qualified marine canvas professionals.

How do I get a quote for boat canvas work through Boat Planet?

Submit a request on Boat Planet with details about the canvas job, your boat’s make and model, and what you’re looking to repair or replace. Uploading photos helps! Local pros will respond with quotes, timelines, and service options based on your needs.

Do boat canvas pros come to my boat, or do I need to bring it to them?

Many canvas pros offer mobile service and can come to your dock, marina, or home. However, larger fabrication jobs or sewing repairs may need to be completed at their shop. Your pro will let you know if they need measurements on-site or if components can be removed and dropped off.

How long does canvas repair or replacement take?

Canvas repairs like stitching or zipper replacement can often be completed in a day or two. Custom fabrication or full replacements may take 1–3 weeks, depending on the complexity and material availability. Your pro will provide a timeline when quoting the job.

How long does boat canvas last?

High-quality marine canvas typically lasts 5–10 years, depending on sun exposure, care, and storage conditions. Regular cleaning and proper storage can extend the life of your canvas. If yours is fading, cracking, or leaking, it may be time for repair or replacement.

How much does boat canvas work cost?

Pricing varies widely depending on the job. Small repairs might start around $100, while full bimini replacements or custom enclosures can run $1,000–$5,000+. You’ll receive up to three quotes on Boat Planet to help you compare options and find a pro within your budget.

What should I do to prepare for a boat canvas appointment?

Make sure your boat is accessible and clean, and remove any gear or obstructions around the canvas area. If the pro is coming to you, ensure there’s room to work and that dock or marina access is arranged. Bring any loose canvas components (like covers or windows) if you’re visiting a shop.
