Custom Canvas and Cushions

“This is the second boat that Custom Canvas has done for us. They have redone the upholstery on my 320 Sundancer and my 2860 Sailfish. Both came out great. They are very busy so things never get done as quick as I want them to, but they managed my expectations and did a great job. Chris brought great ideas that we had not thought about and worked with us each step to get exactly what we wanted. Also had a Shower curtain made for around the T-Top and it fits perfect.“

“Just had Neil do a complete enclosure and top on my Stamas 250 express. Came out perfect and cost was within my agreed budget. Would highly recommend.“

Pontoon Enclosure FAQs

What does a pontoon enclosure service include?

Pontoon enclosure services typically include the design, fabrication, repair, or replacement of full or partial enclosures using marine canvas and clear vinyl panels (like Isinglass or Strataglass). This can include side curtains, front and rear panels, and zippered doors that provide weather protection and extend your boating season.

What types of enclosures are available for pontoon boats?

Common enclosure types for pontoons include full enclosures (covering the entire seating area), half enclosures (typically for the helm or front lounge), and camper-style enclosures with roll-up vinyl windows. Many setups are fully customizable and attach to existing Bimini tops or rails.

How do I get a quote for a pontoon enclosure through Boat Planet?

Submit a request on Boat Planet with your pontoon’s make, model, and the type of enclosure you want—new installation, repair, or upgrade. Including photos and rough measurements helps pros provide accurate quotes. You’ll receive up to three estimates from local marine canvas specialists.

Do enclosure pros come to my pontoon boat, or do I bring it to them?

Many pros offer mobile services and can come to your marina, dock, or storage location to take measurements and install the enclosure. For repairs, you may be able to remove the panels and bring them to a canvas shop. Your pro will let you know the best option.

How long does it take to fabricate or repair a pontoon enclosure?

Minor repairs can be completed in a few days. Full enclosure fabrication usually takes 2–4 weeks, depending on complexity, material availability, and shop workload. Your pro will give you a clear timeline based on your project.

What materials are used in pontoon enclosures?

Enclosures typically use marine-grade canvas (like Sunbrella) and clear vinyl panels (Isinglass, Strataglass, or polycarbonate). Zippers, snaps, and framing components are made from stainless steel or corrosion-resistant materials to withstand the marine environment.

How much does a pontoon enclosure cost?

Prices vary widely based on the size, style, and materials. Simple repairs may cost $200–$500. New full enclosures can range from $2,000 to $6,000+. Requesting quotes on Boat Planet helps you compare costs from qualified local pros.

What should I do to prepare for a pontoon enclosure appointment?

Ensure your boat is clean and accessible for measuring and installation. Remove any personal items or obstructions in the enclosure area. If you're transporting panels to a shop, label areas needing repair and bring any hardware. Your pro will walk you through any other preparation steps.
