The Gulf of Mexico is well known for being the grouper capital of the world. In the reefs, wrecks, and ledges we fish there are black grouper, red grouper, gag grouper, scamp grouper, and goliath grouper. Aside from those bottom fish there are gray snapper, mangrove snapper, red snapper, and trigger fish that are caught on the same type of reef. For surface trolling we have an abundance of king mackerel, spanish mackerel, barracuda, and always sharks. There are countless opportunities in our Gulf for different target species.
