Grandpappy Point Marina was established as a small fishing camp in 1950. Since then Grandpappy Point Marina has developed into a vast complex covering over 180 acres and offering a wide range of services and amenities. Campgrounds. Campgrounds include group camping facilities, sheltered group picnic area, playground, sandy beach, swimming area, horseshoe pits and sand volleyball court. Grandpappy Point Marina offers bloat slip rentals with 35 boathouses with over a total of 800 slips. They range in size from 20' all the way to 60'! The Grandpappy Point Pavilion is a great venue for any event! Nestled among the trees of Grandpappy Point Marina, the 15,000 square foot Pavilion makes an excellent meeting and dining hall for larger groups up to 1500 people. The Pavilion includes a unique bar made from an old yacht and a stage useful for any gathering. There is ample parking in the grass field nearby. Catering can also be arranged with The Point Restaurant or a local caterer of your choice. Grandpappy's Pavilion is also used for the Annual Lakefest Regatta, which occurs in mid April.
