“This is the second boat that Custom Canvas has done for us. They have redone the upholstery on my 320 Sundancer and my 2860 Sailfish. Both came out great. They are very busy so things never get done as quick as I want them to, but they managed my expectations and did a great job. Chris brought great ideas that we had not thought about and worked with us each step to get exactly what we wanted. Also had a Shower curtain made for around the T-Top and it fits perfect.“

“Just had Neil do a complete enclosure and top on my Stamas 250 express. Came out perfect and cost was within my agreed budget. Would highly recommend.“

Boat Enclosure FAQs

What does a boat enclosure service include?

Boat enclosure services typically include the design, fabrication, repair, or replacement of clear vinyl panels, canvas sections, zippers, and framing that create a weatherproof barrier around your boat’s helm or cockpit. Services may also include re-stitching seams, replacing windows, or upgrading to newer enclosure materials.

What types of boats can have enclosures installed or repaired?

Boat enclosures are common on a wide range of vessels, including center consoles, cruisers, trawlers, sportfishers, and yachts. Whether you're looking for a full enclosure, side curtains, or a custom helm station cover, Boat Planet pros can work with nearly any boat type and layout.

How do I get a quote for a boat enclosure service through Boat Planet?

Submit a request on Boat Planet with your boat’s make, model, and whether you need repair, replacement, or a new custom enclosure. Include photos and measurements if possible. Local marine canvas and enclosure pros will respond with quotes and service options.

Do enclosure pros come to my boat, or do I need to bring the panels in?

Most enclosure pros offer mobile service and will come to your marina, dock, or storage location to take measurements or remove/install panels. For repairs, you may be able to remove the panels and bring them to a shop. The pro will advise what works best for your specific job.

How long does it take to install or repair a boat enclosure?

Minor repairs like re-stitching seams or replacing zippers can take 1–3 days. Full enclosure fabrication or replacement may take 2–4 weeks, depending on complexity and material availability. Your pro will provide an estimated timeline based on your project.

What materials are used in boat enclosures?

Enclosures are typically made with marine-grade canvas and clear vinyl such as Strataglass, Eisenglass, or polycarbonate. These materials are UV-resistant and designed to withstand marine conditions. Your pro can recommend the best option based on your climate and usage.

How much does a boat enclosure service cost?

Costs vary depending on the boat size, number of panels, materials used, and whether you’re doing a repair or full replacement. Small repairs might start at $150, while a full enclosure can range from $2,000 to $8,000+. Boat Planet allows you to request up to three quotes from local pros for comparison.

What should I do to prepare for a boat enclosure service appointment?

Ensure your boat is clean and accessible, and remove any gear or obstacles around the enclosure area. If the pro needs dock access or gate codes, have those ready. For shop-based repairs, bring in the panels and note any damage or specific areas of concern.
