Burroughs 5 Boat Detailing

BEWARE! We took our bass boat to Burroughs 5 to get the carpet replaced. When we were driving the boat home the carpet was coming off the boat. They took it back to “make it right”. When we got it back the second time there was glue on the fiberglass side of the boat and the only thing that was glued was the edge. They also replaced the trim strip around the deck but used screws and the wrong kind of trim. We didn’t call them back because enough damage had been done. We took the boat to another company to get it properly fixed this month and were told there was no glue holding the carpet in place except the edges and it wasn’t even marine glue. He also cut into the fiberglass when he cut the carpet at the edges. He used 40oz carpet instead of the 20oz the boat manufacturer calls for. He refuses to give us any of our money back stating the work is final when it leaves his yard. So he can do completely substandard work so long as it looks ok when exiting his property. If the job is found to be absolutely incorrect after that you’re on your own. Don’t let this guy do work on your boat! Especially carpet! I wish I could post pictures! We definitely didn’t WANT to redo carpet a year later, but he left us no choice and he doesn’t take responsibility for his shoddy work! I wouldn’t give 1 star if that was an option!
