Don Hutchins is the only electrical engineer who works on my boats, and when it comes to Hydraulics…Chris. Coastal understands the needs of charter yachts and they have saved me more than once in the past few years. I have literally called them in the morning from Nassau, and they were here before dinner. But let’s talk about pricing for a moment. In this business you get what you pay for. They are not the cheapest…but having used the cheapest it always resulted in calling Coastal to come fix it properly. In one case the cheapest was going to cost me over $20K and three weeks wait for a new part. Don flew to Nassau and repaired things I didn’t know could be repaired, and the overall cost was drastically less than it would have been had I gone with the other company, and it took Don and the Coastal team three days. In the end, the owner was happy, the crew was happy, and our guests (whoi had chartered with us before) felt the door was working better than last time they were there! My point, these guys can do it all, and the are professionals at it in every respect. But what I really appreciate is that if tey can’t do something, they know who can, and when the referral comes from them you know that they will do the job right.
