Gel Coat & Ceramics by Like New Restorations

I do not normally write reviews. I pay what is quoted. If I am impressed I tip, refer to friends, and return as a repeat customer.With my boats I have high expectations and spend a good amount of time researching a business before I arrange for estimates. I am a cautious customer but loyal. I'm short I am a stickler. However I was so impressed from the initial phone call, and the patience Mr. Foreman had with my subsequent inquiries I was anxious to get my boat in for the eyes on assessment. This man took the time to give me some insight to what my fairly new 2022 Sea Ray 23ts condition was and why they were recommending a $2100 wax job. Gel Coat Correction is a process I that involves cleaning, masking, and sanding leveling the surface. My boat was sanded by hand inch by inch with various grits of paper. (This is the longest review i have ever written) I can not explain how much effort these guys put into this sanding process. This of course requires polishing and waxing to restore the shine. I admit I was nervous about the sanding. Let me tell you I have never owned a boat that is as shiny and reflective as my Sea Ray is now. My boat repels and deflects water, bugs, rubs while off, and spider droppings easily wipe away. I did not opt for the added coating he recommended. It adds extra shine and protects against fade. It's expensive but does guarantee shine and water sheeting for 3-5-7 years. I told Mr. Foreman he hould have pushed harder on the up sale. I don't want this shine to ever fade. Wiping my boat down has never been so easy nor quick. Give these guys a call. Add the Coating. Don't Worry about having to pay for a wax job every year or worrying about fade with the Warranty. I should say my boat service was conducted 14 months ago, has been stored on my lift uncovered, and enjoyed on open waters 80+ hours and today I can vouch it looks like the day I picked it up. My expectations-exceeded.

These guys really know their stuff. The owner was very informative and took time to explain the process, limitations, and various options to make sure my needs were met. Todd has taken care of my families cars over the years now he takes care of my 2022 Cobalt.

Just got out 2021 Cobalt back from these guys. Todd and his crew have taken care of my autos for over ten years. When we were considering buying a boat he helped us know what to look for and how to save some money buying a less then perfect boat. We talked the buyer down and saved there. Letting Todd do what he does we saved money there too. Even after adding his Ceramic Coating (included a 3 yr Warranty!) we boat our Cobalt below market value. Call Todd 918-441-0373.

I have an 2007 Sea Ray I purchased 9 years ago despite it's dull chalky like finish. I then let it set outside partially covered. The next 2 years I learned I was over ambitious and under muscled. Time to B.O.A.T. So trying to save money I used a friend of the family first. $800 down the drain. I found a detail shop 119 miles one way that claimed they could bring the shine back but it would cost me $1,400. They talked a good game and had some nice autos in the shop. Cost me a month worrying about my boat. I towed it to and from at the cost of $200. a year later it was maybe worse than before. My wife wanted me to sell the boat and I was finding it harder to disagree. Luckily I found these guys thru Boat Planet. My hope was restored... But wondered could my boats finish be restored? I started following their page. I did my best to stay in good graces with my wife and spent 6 months messaging the owner Todd. I was amazed but was still apprehensive. I don't know what kind of app I thought could fake the reflections but look for yourself. Unbelievable. They do before photos, most of the boats had ongoing progress pictures but to see the end results .....These guys know what they are doing. Todd was nice even sympathetic to my struggles and says he hears it all the time but previous failures don't merit discounts then jokingly he added in fact it should normally include a fee. I understood what he meant because I am a carpenter of 35 years. I was so pleased I told Todd I would put in some time singing their praises and help get the word out. They even offer a Warranty on The SHINE if you have them apply their in house Ceramic. My piggy bank was a little skinny so I have to wait until next winter before I can have them add it. I won't say what I had to pay (🤫) but I encourage you to look them up on fb. I ONLY Recommend using these guys. Oops and Ladies. Two younger ladies restoring an old bass boat that felt like sand paper were very nice and great to talk to never skipped a beat. They were about half way completed when I picked my boat up but I promise you.... it looked better than my neighbors 2020 Ranger.
