Beware of JAS Marine Services! Their service manager Jason Toledo, sent a technician that arrived at our boat to fix a problem. He hooked up his computer and declared we needed a new 'Boat throttle' for $7,200, which we agreed to in order to fix the boat. After replacing it, he suddenly said the 'HCU' also needed replacing, adding another $1,800. Despite suspicions, we paid hoping it would finally resolve the issue. However, after installing the HCU, Jason claimed the throttle wouldn't work without a new 'rear joystick,' adding more expenses that were not discussed before, and were not a problem to begin with. When we asked if this was the final fix, he shockingly admitted he couldn't solve the problem, removed the parts he installed, and demanded $3,000 for his three visits! Jason never explained the unrelated part failures and pressured us into quick decisions. This feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch scam.
