Lake Dallas Boat Company/Lakeview Marina has been family owned and operated since 1942. Lakeview Marina was first started as a fishing camp by Louis B. Drozd, Sr. The camp provided guide service, boat and cabin rentals. In the 1950s, his son, Louis B. Drozd, Jr., joined him in the family business. The business has grown into a full service marina with moorage, boat repairs, and sales. The marina is now operated by the third generation of Drozd - Mike, Tom, and Dean. It is now the oldest, continually operating business in Lake Dallas.
