Tinsley Marine

On a referral I called Mr. Todd Tinsley and scheduled to have my boat looked at on May 29th of 2025 after looking at it we agreed on a price of $9,000 to replace the flooring anything rotten and replacing the deck with an upgrade to the deck being 2 compartments, paint add non skid and buff the outside, finished product was to be “good as new”. Mr. Tinsley originally gave me a completion date of early July 2025. I initially paid a $1,500.00 deposit in May to start the work which did not get started until Aug. 19th when I received pictures of the floor cutout being started. In August I met with and paid Mr. Tinsley an additional $2,500.00 as another installment $4,000 total. From August until Nov. 26th there was very little communication or progress. He mentioned that he had a family matter/some personal things going on and I was more than gracious with the circumstances. I passed his place of business frequently and saw that work had stopped on my boat completely between that time frame. I reached out by phone post holiday Jan. 2026 with no answer, I followed up again in Feb. 23rd and dropped off some materials to be used to rerun the wiring chase and extend it. On March 2nd. 2026, I notified him that I would be picking up my boat and would be expecting a refund for a portion of the down payment for work not completed as promised. there was finally communication after not hearing from him. I received a bill for $4,000.00 dollars for a cutout deck and floor, cut hole in the bottom and a lot of wasted time.
