Detailing a boat involves several kinds of procedures. First and foremost is cleaning your boat. The means washing down the complete topside and hull above the waterline. This also includes cleaning all hatches, hatch covers and gutters, fish boxes and bait boxes, drawers and tackle stations, as well as kitchen stations and heads. Windows and Eisinglass are also included. It is the first step in any detailing project and I can do this for you on a regular maintenance schedule to suit your needs.
Deeper cleaning involves the removal of mold, mildew, and rust from all surfaces, stainless steel, and inside all compartments and hatches. Deep cleaning also encompasses mildew removal from vinyl cushions, seats, and bimini’s and applying UV protectant. The same for metal surfaces such as railings, T-Top supports, and cleats. Finally, all surfaces are waxed and some may require wet sanding and compounding with a rotary buffer before waxing. This work normally has to be done once, after which regular maintenance will mitigate these issues.
