White Lake Yacht Club (WLYC) is a membership club located on the south shore of White Lake in Whitehall, Michigan. The club is just minutes away from the White Lake Channel providing easy access to Lake Michigan. WLYC was founded in 1903; the club house was built in 1906 and has been in continuous operation since 1926. WLYC features a marina basin with permanent and visiting yachtsmen boat slips and moorings, a swimming pool, a historic clubhouse, a long covered porch with rocking chairs to enjoy West Michigan’s glorious sunsets, and the Anchor Room for snacks, casual dining and refreshing beverages. The Ballroom is available to reserve by members only on a limited basis for small events for a modest fee. WLYC offers many activities and hosts a full array of social events for all ages. These include Sailor’s Lunch, the Junior Yacht Club, swim and sailing instructional programs, sailboat racing, Ladies Bridge, weekend dinner dances, themed parties, live music on the deck, and local, regional and national sailing regattas.
